Ottawa, KAN. - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team dropped their home opener as they fell to (7) William Penn by a score of 28-1 on Friday evening at AdventHealth Field.
William Penn controlled the first quarter, leading 5-0 at the end of it. They carried that into the second, scoring four before
Mark Spells broke the drought for Ottawa's first and only goal of the game. At halftime, the Statesmen lead 15-1, and extended their lead in the second half with 8-0 and 5-0 third and fourth quarters.
Ottawa picked up 14 ground balls and forced 13 turnovers.
Dylan Murano made 14 saves in goal for the Braves.
Ottawa (0-3, 0-1 HAAC) returns to the field on Wednesday, March 19 as they host (RV) Benedictine College at AdventHealth Field. That game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
