Marshall, MO - The Ottawa men's lacrosse team finished their season with a loss as they were defeated by Missouri Valley by a score of 14-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
Missouri Valley struck first, which was quickly countered by Ottawa. The Vikings scored one more time to take a 2-1 lead after the first quarter. Missouri Valley kept their momentum going in the second quarter, scoring the first four goals before Ottawa got one back. Going into halftime, Missouri Valley held a 6-2 lead. The Vikings extended that lead, scoring the first two goals of the second half, which Ottawa then nullified with two goals of their own. The fourth quarter was all Missouri Valley, going on a six goals to none run to clinch their victory.
Braydon Francis led Ottawa with three goals,
Mark Spells scored one. Francis and
Peyton Mallory made one assist each.
Dylan Murano made 13 saves in goal.
Ottawa finishes their season with a 0-11 overall record and a 0-9 conference record.
