St. Louis, MO. - The Ottawa women's lacrosse team saw their season come to an end as they were defeated by (8) Missouri Baptist by a score of 21-13 in the Heart Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday afternoon.
Missouri Baptist started hot, leading 7-1 after the first quarter and never trailing. A 6-6 second quarter saw the Spartans' lead stay the same, and they extended it in the third quarter with a 5-3 period. A 3-3 fourth quarter saw Missouri Baptist's victory through.Â
Rilee Barnett led Ottawa with five goals, while
KaiAnna Senne,
Ashlyn Lopez, and
Curstin Brown scored two each.
Isabella Pagliei and
Liv Staberg scored one goal each. Pagliei and
Brianna Valadao made one assist each.
Shelby Bearden made 13 saves in goal.
Ottawa finishes their season with an 8-9 overall record, a 6-2 conference record, and six All-Heart selections.
