OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa University men's basketball program is pleased to announce the signings of Gerald Simms and Isaiah Aguirre for the 2025-26 season. Simms is from Olathe, Kan. and attends Olathe North High School. Aguirre is from Deer Park, Texas and attends Deer Park High School.

Simms lettered in basketball and baseball at Olathe North High School. He was part of the OHS National Honor Society. Simms was part of an Eagle team that finished second place at the 6A Kansas State Tournament.

Simms is the son of Gerald Simms and Stephanie Simms and plans to major in biology. He played travel ball for Kruse Elite under coach Jackson Kruse.

Aguirre lettered in basketball and was part of AVID at Deer Park High School. He was a two-time Second Team All-District selection.

Aguirre is the son of Crystal and Steve Aguirre and plans to major in exercise science.
