OTTAWA, Kan. – The Ottawa University women's basketball program is pleased to announce the signing of Rachel George for the 2025-26 season. She is from Centerville, Iowa and is a transfer from Regis University. George attended Centerville High School.
In George's two seasons at Regis University, she played 14 games, averaging 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. George shot 34.4 percent from the floor, 50 percent from behind the 3-pt line, and 42.9 percent from the free throw line. She was part of the RMAC Tournament championship team. George was part of the Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25.
At Centerville High School, George lettered in basketball, volleyball and track. She participated in speech, FCA, and NHS. George played in the Pizza Ranch All-Star Game as a senior in Iowa. She was a three-time First Team All-Conference selection, earning All-Region and Second Team All-State honors as a senior. George broke four school records and scored over 1,000 points in her career. She was in the top 5 percent of her graduating class at CHS

Hunter Bondurant. "She's a big time player who can score all over the floor. Her experience and leadership she will bring from a conference tournament championship team at Regis will be a huge addition to our team. Will be a lot of fun watching her in Wilson Field House!"
George is the daughter of Derek and Debra George and plans to major in elementary education. She played travel ball for the All Iowa Attack for coach Chris Barkema.
