OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa women's soccer team opens their season up with a premier opponent as they host (RV)  Mid-America Christian at AdventHealth Field.

• The Braves are coming off a 3-9-5 season with a 3-5-5 KCAC record.
• Ottawa returns 18 players from last year's squad, including seven double-digit game starters.
• The Braves have supplemented that roster with eight newcomers, bringing their overall numbers to 26.
• (RV) Mid-America Christian also opens their season in this game.
• The Evangels are coming off a 14-4-2 season which included an 8-1-0 SAC record and NAIA Tournament appearance, which ended in a 1-0 loss to Xavier in the first round.
• This is the second meeting between Ottawa and Mid-America Christian. Ottawa won the lone matchup by a score of 2-0 in 2012.
• This is the first of four non-conference games for Ottawa, and the only game at home. It is one of two against teams receiving votes in the preseason poll, the other being on September 6 at Hastings.
