Women's Volleyball is on the Road at Benedictine on Saturday

The Braves have an overall record of 3-6 an a record of 1-1 on the road this season. OU split is matches on Tuesday with (RV) Columbia College and (RV) Central Methodist University. Ottawa swept Columbia 3-0 but fell 3-1 to Central Methodist. 

Through nine matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 11 kills per set, 10.03 assists per set, 2.09 blocks per set, 1.23 service aces per set, and 15.71 digs per set. OU has a .158 attacking percentage. 

Ottawa is ranked 40th in the NAIA in solo blocks (29), 33rd in blocks per set (2.09), and 28th in block errors (21). 

Campbell Stark is OU's leader in kills per set (2.35), Makela Martinez is the team's leader in assists per set (4.5), Carson Schuman leads Ottawa in digs per set (3.9), and Stark is Ottawa's leader in blocks per set (0.9). 

Saturday's match is the 61st between Ottawa University and Benedictine College. The Ravens lead the series 44-16 but the Braves are 4-1 in the last five matches against Benedictine. BC won the last contest between the two teams on Sept. 14, 2024 in Wilson Field House, 3-2 (19-25, 25-22, 26-24, 26-28, 10-15). The first match between the two teams happened on Oct. 21, 1975 in Wilson Field House. Benedictine won the match, 2-1 (13-15, 15-12, 4-15). 

Benedictine College has an overall record of 3-6 and a mark of 2-0 at home. The Ravens enter Saturday's match coming off a 3-2 win over Park University on Friday night. 

Through nine matches this season, Benedictine is averaging 11.64 kills per set, 10.82 assists per set, 1.23 blocks per set, 1.15 service aces per set, and 17.45 digs per set. The Ravens have a .146 attacking percentage. 

Barbara Terra leads the team in kills per set (3.6), Wren Vancleave is BC's leader in assists per set (8.7), Kelly DeMeulenaere is the team's leader in digs per set (6.3), and Rayleen Gladden leads BC in blocks per set (0.7). 

Benedictine is ranked 27th in the NAIA in digs per set (17.4) and 23rd in ball handling errors (5).
