Women's Volleyball is on the Road at Tabor on Saturday

The Braves are on a three match losing streak with a 3-0 loss to no. 9 Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Wednesday night in the KCAC opener. 

In the loss to Oklahoma Wesleyan Ottawa hit .140 as a team, led by Bailee Nickel (8 kills, .318), Holden (6 kills, .267), and Cherry (5 kills, 3 blocks). Carson Schuman anchored the defense with 14 digs, while Madison Brauner distributed 12 assists. The Braves tallied 12 block assists, with Stark and Holden chipping in 4 and 2 respectively.

Through 11 matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 10.81 kills per set, 9.86 assists per set, 2.14 blocks per set, 1.19 service aces per set, and 15.71 digs per set. OU has a .156 attacking percentage. 

Campbell Stark leads Ottawa in kills per set (2.27) and blocks per set (1.05). Makela Martinez is the team's leader in assists per set (4.47) and Carson Schuman leads the Braves in digs per set (3.83). 

Ottawa is ranked 29th in the NAIA in blocks per set (2.14) and block errors (24). 

Saturday is the 97th match between Ottawa University and Tabor College. Ottawa leads the series 50-46 and OU is on a three match winning streak. The last time OU lost to Tabor was in Hillsboro on Oct. 16, 2021, 3-2. That is also the last time the Braves lost on the road to the Bluejays. The first ever match between Ottawa and Tabor was on Nov. 5, 1977. OU won the match 2-0 (15-10, 15-3). 

Tabor College is 4-10 overall and 0-1 in the KCAC. The Bluejays enter Saturday's match coming off a 3-0 loss to Bethel College on Wednesday night in North Newton, Kan. 

Through 14 matches this season, Tabor is averaging 9.85 kills per set, 9.19 assists per set, 1.41 blocks per set, 1.81 service aces per set, and 14.57 digs per set. The Bluejays have a .099 attacking percentage. 

The Bluejays are ranked sixth in the NAIA in ball handling errors (17). 

Lian McGonigle leads Tabor in kills per set (2.79), Breonna Smith is the team's leader in blocks per set (0.83), Annerieke Nederveen is TC's leader in assists per set (6.29), Emilee Walnofer leads the team digs per set (4.17).
