The Braves earned their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State University at the CSM Labor Day Classic in Omaha, Neb. last Saturday.
Through six matches this season, Ottawa is averaging 10.7 kills per set, 9.8 assists per set, 2.04 blocks per set, 1.08 service aces per set, and 15.7 digs per set. OU has a .138 attacking percentage.

Makela Martinez is OU's leader in assists per set (4.5),
Carson Schuman leads the team in digs per set (4.24), and Stark is the Braves' leader in blocks per set (0.8).
OU is ranked 30th in the NAIA in solo blocks (23), 37th in blocks per set (2.04), and 23rd in blocking errors (17).
Friday will be just the second all-time match between Ottawa University and Stephens College. The Braves lead the series 1-0. The two teams first met on Sept. 28, 1982 at Avila University in Mabee Field House in Kansas City, Mo. Ottawa won the match 2-0; 15-2, 15-10.
Stephens College is 3-2 to start the 2025 season. The Stars enter Friday night's match coming off a 3-0 victory over John Brown University last Saturday.
