Women's Volleyball Travels to Columbia, Mo. for a Match against Columbia and Central Methodist

Ottawa won its second straight match with a sweep of Stephens College last Friday night in Wilson Field House. OU finished the match with 40 kills, a .279 attacking percentage, 35 assists, six service aces, 48 digs, and four team blocks. 

Through seven matches this season, OU is averaging 11 kills per set, 10.04 assists per set, 1.96 blocks per set, 1.18 service aces per set, and 15.75 digs per set. The Braves have a .153 attacking percentage. 

Campbell Stark leads OU in kills per set (2.4), Madison Brauner is the team's leader in assists per set (4.5), Carson Schuman is Ottawa's leader in digs per set (4.07), and Stark is the team's leader in blocks per set (0.8). 

OU has a record of 3-6 against Columbia College. Ottawa is on a two match winning streak against the Cougars, winning for the first time in Columbia last season, 3-1. OU has a road record of 1-4 against Columbia. The first match between Ottawa and Columbia happened on Sept. 14, 1990. Ottawa won the match 2-1 (14-16, 15-13, 15-7)

Tuesday is the 19th match between Ottawa University and Central Methodist University. OU has a record of 7-11 against the Eagles. Last season, Ottawa defeated CMU 3-2 on Sept. 12 in Wilson Field House but was defeated 3-0 on Sept. 30 by the Eagles. The first ever match between the two teams happened on Oct. 30, 1975 in Wilson Field House. Ottawa won the contest 2-0 (15-11, 15-6). 

Columbia College has an overall record of 1-8 and is receiving votes in the NAIA National Poll. The Cougars are on a two match losing streak and are 0-1 at home this season. 

Through nine matches this season, Columbia is averaging 9.8 kills per set, 9.09 assists per set, 2.06 blocks per set, 1.28 service aces per set, and 14.1 digs per set. The Cougars have a .108 attacking percentage. 

Isabella Kincaid leads the Cougars in kills per set (2.2), Hannah Vogt is CC's leader in assists per set (4.2), Taylor Johnson is Columbia's leader in digs per set (3.3), Kenedi Canty leads the team in blocks per set (0.82). 

Columbia is ranked 37th in the NAIA in solo blocks (27), 15th in block errors (30), and 11th in ball handling errors (6).

Central Methodist University has an overall record of 6-2, is receiving votes in the NAIA Poll, and is on a three match winning streak. 

Through eight matches this season, Central Methodist is averaging 12.2 kills per set, 11.6 assists per set, 1.7 blocks per set, 1.9 service aces per set, and 12.7 digs per set. The Eagles have a .234 attacking percentage. 

Joana Milho leads CMU in kills per set (2.7), Mariah Bostic-Jones is the team's leader in assists per set (5.4), Vitoria Martins leads the Eagles in digs per set (3.3), Hailey Dreier leads the team in blocks per set (0.5). 

The Eagles are ranked 19th in the NAIA in attacking percentage (.234), 41st in assists per set (11.6), 21st in solo blocks (31), second in blocking errors (58), and 24th in ball handling errors (4).
