OTTAWA, Kan. — Ottawa University men's basketball withstood a back-and-forth battle Saturday afternoon, pulling away late to secure an 85–80 win over Tabor College inside Wilson Field House.

The Braves opened the game attacking inside, with
Landyn Tyler and
Elijah Mason scoring early baskets to give Ottawa an early edge. Tabor answered with efficient shooting, closing the first half on a 9–3 run to take a 34–33 lead into the break.
The second half featured multiple lead changes as both teams traded baskets. Ottawa gained control midway through the half behind Mason's scoring in the paint and
Jackson Harding's energy on both ends. A late surge from Tabor cut the deficit to two in the final minute, but Ottawa went 6-for-8 at the free-throw line in the closing seconds to seal the win.
