Men's & Women's Bowling to Compete at KCAC Championship

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa men's and women's bowling teams open their postseasons at the KCAC Championship in Topeka on Saturday.
  • Ottawa is coming off their regular season ender at the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis last weekend.
  • The men finished 33rd, the women finished thirteenth.
  • This is the fourth edition of the KCAC Tournament, and the second to grant the winner an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship, which will be held from March 19-21 in Lansing, Michigan.
  • The Ottawa men have qualified for the NAIA National Championship twice: as conference champions in 2020, and as an at-large selection in 2021.
  • The Ottawa women have qualified for the NAIA National Championship three times: as an at-large selection in 2021 and 2024, and as a conference champion in 2020.
  • The Ottawa men finished in third place in last year's KCAC Championship, they finished fourth in the previous two editions.
  • The Ottawa women won the KCAC Tournament in 2024, they finished second in both 2023 and 2025.
  • The tournament is a single elimination bracket with six teams in the men's bracket and eight in the women's.
  • The Brackets were seeded via RPI.
  • Each match will be a mega match, the first time the format will be at the KCAC Championship. A mega match is the best-of-three points: The first point will be one team game, the second point will be the total pinfall of five baker games, and the final point is a best-of-seven baker match only if the teams are tied one to one.
  • The Ottawa men have a bye to the semifinals as the second seed, they will take on the winner of Hastings and Morningside at 11:30 AM.
  • The Ottawa women are the top seed, they match up against Kansas Wesleyan in the quarterfinals at 8 AM, the winner will face off against the winner of Avila and Saint Mary (KS) in the semifinals at 11:30 AM.
  • The women's first match will be streamed on the Ottawa Bowling YouTube Channel, the men's first match and any following men's and women's matches will be streamed on the Urban Edge Network.
