Men's and Women's Bowling to Compete at the NAIA National Championship

OTTAWA, Kan. - The Ottawa men's and women's bowling teams will conclude their postseasons at the NAIA National Championship from March 19-21 in Lansing, Michigan.
  • The Braves are coming off an appearance at the USBC ITC Sectionals, which saw both the men and women finish in ninth place.
  • This will be the Ottawa men's third appearance in the NAIA National Championship, the previous ones coming in 2020 and 2021.
  • The 2020 edition was canceled, and the Braves finished fourth in 2021.
  • The Ottawa men qualified this year by way of a KCAC Championship.
  • This will be the Ottawa women's fourth appearance in the NAIA National Championship, the previous ones coming in 2020, 2021, and 2024.
  • After the 2020 National Championship was canceled, the Braves finished seventh in 2021 and seventh in 2024.
  • The Ottawa women qualified as an at-large.
  • Each tournament is made up of two six team, double elimination brackets, with the winners of each bracket meeting in the championship match.
  • Each match is a mega match, the first time the format will be utilized for the NAIA National championship.
  • The twelfth-seeded Ottawa men will take on Indiana Tech in the first round. The two teams have met in the NAIA National Championship before, with the Braves knocking the Warriors out of the elimination bracket in the fifth round in 2021.
  • The Ottawa women are seeded seventh and up against Morningside, and the Braves will look to avenge their KCAC Championship match loss to the Mustangs in February.
  • All matches can be viewed for free on Urban Edge Network, the NAIA Network, and Bowl TV.
