OTTAWA, Kan. - Ottawa came out swinging and showed fight throughout the doubleheader, but couldn't quite overcome timely hits by (14) Evangel University, falling 3-2 in game one and 6-1 in game two at Alumni Park.

How It Happened
The Braves wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning.
Evangel responded in the second, capitalizing on defensive miscues to tie the game with two unearned runs.
- The Valor added the go-ahead run in the third on an RBI single and held on the rest of the way.
Ottawa threatened late, including a sixth-inning opportunity with bases loaded traffic, but couldn't push across the equalizer.
