Box Score LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The (1) Ottawa University Braves put together a complete performance on both sides of the ball Wednesday night, cruising to a 40-7 victory over Saint Mary (Kan.) at Charles Berkel Memorial Stadium.
How it Happened
Ottawa wasted no time setting the tone early in the first quarter. Quarterback
Anna Anderson connected with Tatiana Dos Santos for a touchdown, followed by a successful conversion to give the Braves a 7-0 lead. Moments later, Anderson scored from 16 yards out, increasing the OU lead to 13-0
The Braves continued to build momentum in the second quarter with another touchdown drive, taking a commanding 20-0 lead into halftime. Ottawa's defense was just as dominant, forcing negative plays and limiting Saint Mary's opportunities throughout the half.
Coming out of the break, Ottawa stayed aggressive. The Braves added two more touchdowns in the third quarter, including another scoring connection between Anderson and Dos Santos and a conversion run by Anderson to push the lead to 34-0.
Saint Mary managed to get on the board late in the game, but Ottawa quickly answered with a fourth-quarter touchdown to seal the 40-7 victory.
