(RV) Men's Volleyball Sweeps (14) Morningside

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Ottawa University men's volleyball team put together a strong all-around performance on Saturday afternoon, defeating Morningside University in straight sets, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-19).

Ottawa hit .356 as a team while holding the Mustangs to a .153 attacking percentage, pulling away in each set with timely runs and consistent execution.

Set 1
Ottawa jumped out to an early advantage and never trailed after building an 8-3 lead behind a service ace from Marko Zolnjan and strong attacking from Petar Lazic and Kadeem Morris. Morningside trimmed the deficit late to 24-22, but Lazic closed the set with a kill to give the Braves the 25-22 victory.

Set 2
The Braves took control early in the second set. Consecutive service aces from Zolnjan sparked an 8-3 run, and Ottawa extended the lead to 11-4 following a Morris kill. Morningside attempted to rally, but Ottawa continued to side out efficiently and pushed the lead to 24-17 before Lazic finished the set with another kill for the 25-18 win.

Set 3
Ottawa carried its momentum into the third set, racing out to a 10-4 lead highlighted by kills from Morris and Lazic. The Mustangs cut the lead to 12-11 midway through the set, but the Braves responded with a key run, including a service ace by Leo Betin and multiple kills from Zolnjan. Ottawa sealed the sweep when a Morningside attack error gave the Braves the 25-19 set win and the match.
