Women's Volleyball Selected to Finish 7th in the KCAC KCAC Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll

OTTAWA, Kan. – The 2026 KCAC Women's Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll has been released, the conference office announced Friday. Ottawa University was selected to finish seventh by the conference coaches.

The Braves received 104 points in the poll, just three points behind sixth-place Kansas Wesleyan University. Ottawa enters the 2026 season looking to build on a strong finish to the 2025 season under head coach Ashan Jordan.

OU finished sixth in the KCAC standings in 2025 with a 7-6 conference record, one spot better than its seventh-place preseason selection. The Braves finished 10-14 overall and qualified for the KCAC Tournament.

Ottawa played some of its best volleyball down the stretch last season. After opening KCAC play with a 2-4 record, the Braves won five of their final seven conference matches. That stretch included victories over Bethany College, Southwestern College, York University, Friends University and the University of Saint Mary.

The Braves return Second Team All-KCAC performer Campbell Stark. She finished 2025 with 178 kills, a .261 attacking percentage and 95 blocks.

McPherson College was selected to win the 2026 KCAC championship. The Bulldogs received 167 points and 11 of the 14 first-place votes after finishing 13-0 in conference play and advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2025 NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship.

Oklahoma Wesleyan University was picked second with 156 points and received the remaining three first-place votes. Bethel College was third with 140 points, Evangel University fourth with 136 points and the University of Saint Mary rounded out the top five with 114 points.

Kansas Wesleyan University was selected sixth with 107 points, followed closely by Ottawa with 104. Sterling College was eighth (81), Tabor College ninth (72), Friends University 10th (66), Southwestern College 11th (43), York University 12th (41), Bethany College 13th (30) and Avila University 14th (17).
