KANSAS - For the second time in three weeks, no 18-t Ottawa earned league-wide men's soccer honors, as
Cale Scott was recognized as the KCAC Offensive Player of the Week for week 3. The accolade, announced by the league office today and presented by
Athletic Solutions, is the first for Scott and reflects performances from Sept. 7-13 among voting of conference sports information directors.
The redshirt junior from Lawrence, Kan., recorded his third gamewinning goal of the season on Saturday, leading the Braves to a 3-0 shutout over Midland University. He tallied two shots on goal - five total - during the match, as his 12th-minute strike off an assist by
Simon Kindt held up. Scott has struck for four goals and has one assist on the year for nine points, well ahead of his career pace.
Joining Scott in earning Week 3 accolades is Marko Rodic of no. 1 Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
