Oberlin College: Danel was a member of the football team at OC.

High School: He lettered in football, track, volleyball, powerlifting, band, chorus, acapella, and music at Forest Hills Jr./Sr. High School. Danel was an All-State defensive end as a junior and earned All-Conference honors at running back his senior season. He was a three-time All-District selection in the shot put and javelin. Danel earned All-County, All-State, All-District, All-Eastern, and All-National honors in choir on Bass 2. Danel was selected to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl at At&T Stadium in Dallas Texas. He was also invited to play in a 7v7 competition in Nashville, Tenn.

Personal: Son of Matt Danel and Kerry Danel ... biology major. His sister, Samantha, will attend Ottawa University in the fall of 2025. Danel is a firm believer in Christ Jesus, and uses God's teachings in very many aspects of my life. From sports to the classroom, he does his very best every day to be the best Christian and disciple that he can possibly be. Danel also love the outdoors, music, and spending time with family and friends.
