2024: As a freshman, Nickel finished the season with an overall record of 11-12. She was named, along with partner Madison Brauner, Second Team All-CSC. Nickel had a record of 4-3 in no. 3 pairs and 7-9 in no. 4 pairs. Brauner and herself, finished the year with a record of 7-7. They had a mark of 2-1 in no. 3 pairs and a record of 5-6 in no. 4 pairs. The duo were 8-2 in their last 10 matches and had won four straight to end the season.

High School: Nickel lettered in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and beach volleyball at Clairemont High School. She was named San Diego City League Player of the Year as a senior and helped her basketball team to a CIF Finals appearance, earning Second Team All-CIF. Nickel was a four year member of the volleyball varsity team and made varsity basketball as a freshman. In 2023, Nickel was named First Team All-League in beach volleyball. In 2022, she was named Athlete of the Year City League Volleyball, was named MVP, was selected First Team All-City League, earned the Clairemont High School Chief Award. In 2021, Nickel was the Co-MVP on the volleyball court, named a scholar athlete, and earned First Team All-League. In 2020, she was named Most Improved and was a First Team All-League selection. Nickel was named Most Improved in 2019.

Personal: Daughter of Tina and Daniel Nickel … elementary education major. Nickel played club for La Jolla Volleyball Club under coach Lawrence Ortiguerra.
