2022: Petersen played on the junior varsity team his sophomore season.

2021: Petersen was a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.

High School: Petersen is a four-year varsity letter recipient for the Pleasant Hill Roosters. He was a 2019 Team MVP, 2019 All-District Honorable Mention and All-Conference Honorable Mention. Petersen holds the school record for the saves in a season with 161 and school records for shutouts in a season with eight. In 2020, he was 1st team All-District, 1st team All-Region, All-Region Goalkeeper of the Year, 1st team All-State and 1st team All-Metro. Also, Petersen was part of the Pleasant Hill soccer team that made the Missouri State Quarterfinals in 2019 and finished third overall at the Missouri State Tournament.

Personal: Son of Rob and Dawn Peterson... graphic design major... Was part of a nationally ranked show choir, Hillside Singers... He was a member of first ever All-Male show choir in Missouri called Powerhouse.
