Johnson is from Richmond, Kansas where he attended Central Heights High School. He is now an alumni of Ottawa University with a degree in Exercise Science and an emphasis in pre allied health. This is Johnson’s first season as a graduate assistant for cheer.

Previously, Johnson was a member of the OU cheer team for two years where he played his role in helping earn the 3rd and 7th place outcomes at the NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championship in Daytona Beach, FL.

As an undergraduate at Ottawa University, Johnson completed 2 internships with personal training and with Franklin County Chiropractic. He began and continues to teach tumbling with the Director of Kansas Gymnastics Dance and Cheer. As his first coaching experience, Johnson “hopes to leave a good impression of the hard work that the team and our coaching staff are putting into developing a championship caliber team”.
