Adriana Skipper

Skipper is in her second season as Director of Cheer, Dance & STUNT.

Skipper has been part of the OU athletics since she stepped on campus as a member of the Ottawa women’s volleyball team in 2016. She is a vital member of the OU women’s volleyball program, the advisor to OU SALT, and now will wear a new hat, Director of Cheer, Dance & STUNT.

Skipper is also heavily involved with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and was promoted to head NCA instructor this past year. She quickly received recognition for her work, being named the 2022 Top Veteran NCA Instructor in the Southwest Region.

The NCA was founded in 1948 by Lawrence “Herkie” Herkimer and continues to hold his vision of creating an atmosphere to cultivate the whole cheerleader. They embrace their rich heritage as the first cheerleading company and continue to pioneer the way with innovative camp curriculum, industry-leading championships and events that reward the hard-working, well-rounded cheerleaders in America today.

Skipper was a First Team All-KCAC performer in cheer, helping the Braves capture the 2018 and 2019 KCAC Championship. She also led the Braves to an eighth place finish at the National Cheer Association (NCA) National Championships in 2018 and 2019.

Skipper will continue her duties as the top assistant for the women’s volleyball program and SALT Advisor.
