Coach Pearson is in his first season as an assistant coach with the OU men’s basketball program. He is the head junior varsity coach.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Pearson spent three years as the head cross country and golf coach at Central Heights High School. Prior to working at CHS, He was a mathematics instructor and head baseball coach at Wellsville High School. Pearson led the Eagles to three state tournaments.

Pearson started his teaching career at CHS in 2004 where he spent two years as an assistant basketball and baseball coach for the Vikings.

He graduated from Ottawa University in 2003 with a degree in mathematics. Pearson was a four year letterman on the men’s golf team for the Braves. He received his master’s in 2008 from MidAmerica Nazarene University.
