Coach Slawson is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Braves He spent the 2020-21 season as an assistant coach and was a student assistant with the Braves in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
Slawson was a member of the OU junior varsity team during the 2017-18 season before transitioning to the coaching staff.
Slawson three year letterwinner in basketball for Paola High School. He also earned two letters in cross country and two in track for the Panthers. Slawson helped the Panthers to the 2013-14 Kansas State Basketball Tournament. Â
Slawson graduated with a degree in sports studies from Ottawa University.
