Coach Meyer is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the OU Men’s Basketball program.

Meyer comes to Ottawa University from Bethel College in North Newton, Kan. He was an Assistant Coach for the Bethel Men’s Basketball program for four seasons under former Head Coach Tony Hoops. Meyer was the Head Junior Varsity Coach for the Threshers, accumulating a record of 44-11 in KCAC play. While at Bethel, he handled NAIA eligibility requirements and regulations, made scouting reports, recruited, worked on player development, and supervised student academic progress.

Meyer also worked for Mid America Youth Basketball (MAYB) where he registered youth teams in basketball tournaments across the Midwest and supervised tournaments in the Wichita, Kan. area.

Before working at Bethel, Meyer was a Student-Assistant and Head Junior Varsity Coach for the Bethany College Men’s Basketball program under former Head Coach Clair Oleen. He led the Bethany junior varsity team to a record of 24-6 in KCAC play. Meyer assisted in recruiting, scheduling, scouting, and was the video coordinator.

Meyer graduated from Herington High School in Herington, Kan. in 2009 and graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan. in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management with a Minor in Coaching. He is working on his Masters from Ottawa University in Business Administration - Leadership Development.

Meyer is the son of Ben and Kristi Meyer, who reside in Herington, Kan. He also has a younger sister, Cara, who lives in the Kansas City area.
