Coach Mocaby is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU men’s basketball program. He will coach the junior varsity black team.
Before coming to Ottawa University, Mocaby was a student assistant coach at Bethel College in North Newton, Kan. While a member of the Thresher staff, he was the head junior varsity coach and assisted with varsity. Mocaby assisted with the scouting report, helped with player development, and did live opponent scouting. He oversaw post-game road meals, put together excel data for analytics and gathered recruiting data.
Mocaby is the program director for the Kansas Select Summer Basketball program. He is in charge of running the six team organization and coaches two teams. Mocaby developed players during the summer and created relationships and connections with players. During the summer, he coaches over 250 games.
Mocaby graduated from Bethel College in May of 2023 with a degree in mathematical sciences. He is working on his masters in education with an emphasis in learning technology from Ottawa University.
