Coach Padia is in his first year as a graduate assistant coach with the Ottawa University men’s basketball program.  He is also the junior varsity head coach for the Braves.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Padia was a graduate assistant coach at Southwest Baptist University. At SBU he handled day to day operations within the team, planned and implemented in and off season workouts, did player evaluations, and worked primarily with post players and team defense. Padia also coached the Bearcats to a 71-69 victory over Lindenwood University during the head coach’s absence. He was named interim head coach for five weeks at SBU while the administration looked for a new head coach.

Padia has worked the Danny Manning Basketball Camp where he was a coach and instructor for campers ages 6 to 14. He also assisted at the University of Kansas Basketball Camp where he coached campers from ages 11 to 14 and he worked closely with other college coaches.

Padia was a four year letterman on the football field for Lafayette College. Off of the field, he was involved in the Lafayette Men’s Gospel Choir, was part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, had a leadership role at the Youth Empowerment Day, and was a volunteer at Cheston Elementary School in Easton, Pa. Padia graduated from LC in May of 2012 with a degree in American studies and a minor in Africana studies.

Padia is getting his MBA with a focus on leadership and management from Ottawa University.
