2022-23: Hooper played in 20 games as a redshirt sophomore, starting five. He averaged 1.4 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. Hooper shot 34.5 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from behind the 3-pt line.
2021-22: Hooper played in 11 varsity games. He shot 33.3 percent from the floor and average 0.3 points per game.
2020-21: Hooper was a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.
High School: He earned three letters in basketball, four in football, three in baseball, and one in track for Cherryvale High School. As a senior on the basketball court, Hooper was named First Team All-Area, unanimous First Team All-League, earned All-Tournament and All-Academic honors at the Wildcat Classic, was named All-Tournament and All-Academic at the Wilson County Classic, earned Kansas 3A All-State Honorable Mention honors from Sports in Kansas, Topeka-Capital Journal, and the Wichita Eagle. Hooper was named team captain. In his junior season, he was named First Team All-Area, unanimous First Team All-League, was named to the  All-Tournament and All-Academic team at the Wildcat Classic and at the Wilson County Classic, earned Kansas 3A All-State Honorable Mention from Sports in Kansas, Topeka-Capital Journal, and the Wichita Eagle. Hooper was named team captain. He was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Wilson County Classic as a sophomore. On the baseball diamond, Hooper earned Honorable Mention All-Tri-Valley League honors as a junior. As a member of the Charger football team, he was a First Team All-District selection and earned First Team All-Area honors on defense.  Hooper was an Honorable Mention All-District selection at quarterback and was named Second Team All-Area by Sports in Kansas. Hooper is ranked third all-time in Cherryvale school history in passing yards in a single season and is first in the school record book for longest touchdown pass in a game (95 yards). As a junior on the football field, Hooper was an Honorable Mention All-Area receiver, and was named Second Team All-Area on defense. He was named Honorable Mention All-Area as a punter, earned All-District honors as a punter and receiver, and was an Honorable Mention All-Tri-Valley League selection at receiver.
Personal: Son of Jon and Ashley Hooper and Brent and Stephanie Julian ... engineering major. Hooper was his class salutatorian, served as StuCo president, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was a recipient of the 2020 KSHSAA Citizenship Award.
