2022-23: Pope was a member of the varsity reserve as a redshirt sophomore. He made nine appearances at the varsity level.

2021-22: Pope played on the varsity reserve team.

2020-21: Pope was a member of the junior varsity team as a freshman.

High School: Pope attended McLouth High School. He lettered in basketball and football at MHS. Pope helped the Bulldogs to a 2018-19 Sub-State Championship and to the Kansas State Boys Basketball Tournament. It was McLouth High School's first trip to state in 70 years. Pope was selected to play in two All-Star Games. He was twice named to the MIT All-Tournament team, was a two-time First Team All-League selection, earned Honorable Mention All-State honors twice.
