Coach Bauer is in his first season as an assistant coach with the OU men's bowling program.

Bauer was a member of the bowling team at the University of Kansas. He was named to the All-Tournament team for two tournaments as a senior and had a top 20 average. Bauer was a record holder and champion for the Greater Ozarks Tournament in Springfield, Mo. in the all events scratch division. He won the Jerry Severn Tournament in South Dakota. Bauer finished fourth in 2015 at the PBA Southwest Open in Fort Sill, placed third in 2014 at the All Events Scratch Greater Tulsa Open, finished fifth in 2013 at the PBA Junction City Bowl Southwest/Midwest Open, was a Kansas Youth State All-Events Doubles and Team Champion, and finished second at the Kansas 6A State Tournament. Bauer has competed in Germany, Italy, and throughout the United States.

Bauer graduated from KU in December of 2015 with a bachelors of general studies in communication studies with a minor in leadership studies. Outside of bowling, he has over 150 hours of community service for boys and girls club, big brothers big sisters, junior achievement, and at Milford Elementary School.

Bauer competes in PBA Tournaments and is on the Ebonite International (EBI) Amateur Staff.
