Biography

2024: Bessey ran a personal best time of 27:29.0 at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic in an 8K. Finished 60th in his first race of the season, the Mauthama-Rogers Cross Country Invitational, with a time of 34:12.6.  Ran under 30 minutes in an 8K (28:48.1) for the first time in 2024 at the Mike Spielman Classic. Finished 74th at the KCAC Championships with a time of 29:19.4.

High School: Bessey lettered in cross country and track and Plano East High School.

Personal: Son of Woinshet Bessey and Yibarek Bessey ... MIS major.
