Perez is in his first season as the Volunteer West Coast Recruiting Coordinator for the OU men’s soccer program.

Perez has coached for two decades, spending 12 years at the high school level and four years coaching club soccer. He has also been involved at the collegiate level. Perez spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons as an assistant coach for the Rio Hondo Community College men’s soccer program. He also was an assistant coach in 2013 and 2014 with the San Bernardino Valley College men’s soccer program.

Perez works for MLS team, the L.A. Galaxy as a camp and clinic instructor. He is also the Founder and Director of the Legacy Soccer Camp. Perez is currently employed by Highland Academy Charter School in Beaumont, Calif. where is a physical education teacher and is the Athletic Director.

Perez holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "C" license. He received his degree in Kinesiology from California State University San Bernardino and a Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.

In his spare time, Perez loves to cook and host. He also coaches his two daughters. Perez and his wife Lorena reside in Beaumont, with their three children, a son, Derek and two daughters, Jocelyn and Carissa.
