Cain Scott is in his first year as an assistant coach with the Ottawa men’s soccer program after spending the 2021 and 2022 as a graduate assistant coach with the Braves' program.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Scott was a four-year letterman on the Braves soccer program and served as a captain his final two seasons. During his time as a player, Scott scored 13 goals and had 12 assists.
Scott played two years professionally, from 2017-2019, for USL League Two club Kaw Valley FC.
Along with coaching at Ottawa, Scott also coaches at Toca FC and the USYS Olympic Development Program (ODP). Scott coaches youth teams, providing training, encouragement, and helping prepare the players for their weekly games.
Scott graduated from OU in May of 2021 with a degree in secondary education. He received a Master of Arts in Education degree with a concentration in educational leadership from Ottawa University in 2023. Scott holds a USSF National D Coaching License.
