Coach Munoz is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU men’s soccer program.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Munoz was a U.S. Soccer Federation Referee in Phoenix, Ariz. He attended training courses, was responsible for the safety of players on the field, and corresponded directly with assignors.

Munoz attended Arizona Christian University for one year and was a member of the ACU men’s soccer team. While at ACU, he was a Spanish tutor. Munoz assisted students, provided feedback, and reinforced class-taught concepts relating to the Spanish language and culture. On the pitch, he appeared in 19 games for the Firestorm. Munoz finished the season with two goals and two assists from his midfield position.

Before attending ACU, Munoz attended Calumet College of Saint Joseph and appeared in 11 soccer matches. As a freshman and sophomore, Munoz attended Arizona Western College. He helped the Matadors to the 2016 state semifinal and the 2015 conference championship. Munoz was named a NSCAA All-Region player.

Munoz graduated from ACU in May of 2019 with a bachelor of science in business administration. He is working on his MBA from Ottawa University.
