Luke Cottage, a native of Thrapston England, is in his third season as a graduate assistant coach at Ottawa.
Cottage graduated from Southwestern Christian University with a Sports Management degree, where he played soccer for four years and became a graduate assistant.
After graduating, Cottage progressed in his coaching career by working in Canada with Leicester City FC, and then in the United States, Australia with ASA Academy and China with Stoke City FC.
He then moved back to the US to continue coaching at Bethel College and the first year brought great success. The Threshers had one of the most successful seasons to date with the most conference wins and reaching the conference playoffs for the first time in 12 years.
Cottage has worked in club and high school soccer in Oklahoma and across the globe, he is currently working with a local club in Olathe, Toca FC where he has two junior academy teams, and two academy teams.
When asked what coach Luke likes the most about working with Soccer, he responded “there is a great sense of community across the whole organization with everyone working together to achieve the same goal, student success. Of course, I love working with the team and seeing the amazing cultural diversity but to see the success off the field as well as on the field is just as rewarding”.
