Biography

Entering his senior season, Williams has played in 55 matches. He has 630 kills, a .325 attacking percentage, 26 assists, 29 service aces, 282 digs, and 269 blocks. Williams is ranked third in the OU career record book in kills (630), third in kills per set (3.17), fourth in total attempts (1,318), second in attacking percentage (.325), 10th in service aces (26), tied for ninth in service aces per set (0.15), sixth in digs (282), first in total blocks (269), first in blocks per set (1.40), and is tied for eighth in sets played (199).

2024: Williams was named to the All-GPAC Teams for the third straight season, earning First Team honors. In 21 matches, he has 302 kills, a .282 attacking percentage, 12 assists, nine service aces, 153 digs, and 95 blocks. Williams is ranked 12th in the NAIA in kills per set (3.92), 34th in total attacks (687), 36th in attacking percentage (.282), fifth in solo blocks (24), 20th in blocks assists (71), 12th in total blocks (95), second in blocks per set (1.23), 24th in points (370.5), and fifth in points per set (4.8).  

2023: Williams earned All-GPAC honors for the second straight season with his First Team selection. He was named GPAC Defensive Player of the Week three times and GPAC Attacker of the Week once. Williams was named NAIA Defensive Player of the Week once in 2023. He played in 21 matches in 2023. He had 224 kills, a .350 attacking percentage, eight assists, 15 service aces, 108 digs, and 103 blocks. Williams averaged 3.1 kills and 1.4 blocks per set. He is ranked 10th in the NAIA in attacking percentage (.349), first in solo blocks (36), 13th in block assists (67), third in total blocks (103), and first in blocks per set (1.4). Williams tied his own school record for single match blocks with 11 in OU’s win over Centra Christian College. He is eighth in the OU single season record book in kills (224), tied for seventh in kills per set (3.06), third in attacking percentage (.350), first in total blocks (103), and second in blocks per set (1.41).

2022: Williams was named Second Team All-GPAC in his first collegiate season. He earned NAIA and GPAC Defensive Player of the Week honors once. Williams set a new school record for blocks in a match with 11. He finished the season with 104 kills, a .423 attacking percentage, five assists, 21 digs, and 72 blocks. Williams was ranked 41st in the NAIA in solo blocks (14), 46th in block assists (58), and 45th in total blocks (72). He set a new school record for single match blocks with 11 against Hope International University. Williams set a new school record for single season attacking percentage (.423), is tied for seventh in total blocks (72), and is first in blocks per set (1.47).

High School: Williams was named Best Blocker at the Caribbean Volleyball Championships and named Best Blocker at Norceca. He played for the Barbados National Team (U19, U21).

Personal: Son of Zeona Wilson-Yarde ... sports studies major. Williams played club for Deacons Volleyball Team under coach Andrew Culpepper.
