Coach Blessington is in her fourth season as head men's volleyball coach.
Blessington is no stranger to the OU men's volleyball program. She started the program in 2015, leading the program to two NAIA National Tournaments.
She coached five AVCA NAIA All-Americans, was named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year in 2017, and coached 10 All-Conference performers.
Blessington is in her 10th season as head coach of the OU women's volleyball program. Through nine seasons, Blessington has an overall record of 245-97 and a KCAC record of 140-14. She has led the Braves to six KCAC Regular Season Championships, seven KCAC Tournament Championships, eight NAIA National Tournament Appearances, and five NAIA Final Site Appearances. Blessington has coached 12 NAIA All-Americans, 16 AVCA All-Region selections, 53 All-KCAC performers, three KCAC Player of the Year, six KCAC Setters of the Year, one KCAC Libero of the Year, and one KCAC Freshman of the Year. She has also been named KCAC Coach of the Year five times.
Blessington earned her associate of arts from Southwestern Community College, her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Grand View University, a master’s diploma in management from Durham University, and a master’s degree in health and human performance from Pittsburg State University.
