Drew Loukota

Coach Loukota is in his second season as an assistant coach with the OU track and field programs. He will coach the OU throwers.

Loukota had a distinguished career as thrower at OU. He was a four-year member of the OU track & field program, and from 2020-22 he was named KCAC Honorable Mention on nine different occasions. He currently holds the school record for the men's hammer throw, which he set back in 2021 at the Baker Relays.

Over the past few summers, Loukota has returned to his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska to work for the Wings of Omaha Track and Field Club as the throws coach. This past summer he helped lead one of his athletes to become a national qualifier in the discus throw for the Junior Olympics.

Loukota attended Ottawa University from 2018-2022, a double-major with bachelor's degrees in Sports Studies and Business Administration. He also has intern experience within the OU athletics department, working with Strength and Conditioning as well as Game Operations.
