Coach Bremer is in her second season as head cross country coach and first season assistant track coach.
She started her coaching career as a recruiting secretary while she was a student at Manchester College (now University). At Manchester, she was a standout in cross country and track and field. A team captain starting her freshman year, she led the team to multiple conference team titles, set several conference records (800i, 800o, 400H), and added her name over a dozen times to the record board at MU. She was the Manchester co-athlete of the year her senior year after she qualified twice for the NCAA DIII track and field championships (800i, 800o) and was both all-region and all-academic in all three sports.
After graduating with her degree in exercise science, coaching, and athletic training, she was a graduate assistant at DePauw University before returning to her alma mater. At Manchester she worked in the admissions office while continuing to coach until moving into the financial aid office to further assist incoming students.
In 2018 she left MU to work at Trine University where she held multiple roles on their main campus (Assistant Director of Admissions, Director of Academic Outreach and Transfer Admission, Director of Transfer Admissions) over the next couple years. She eventually became the Director of Recruiting and Student Services at their College of Health Professions before leaving to join the Ottawa community.
