2023 Outdoor: Placed ninth in the javelin at the KCAC Championships with a mark of 46.50M.

High School: Gibson earned letters in football, wrestling, and track & field at Bixby High School. He helped lead the Spartans to three football state championships. Gibson was a two-time state wrestling qualifier. He was an Honorable Mention All-District selection in football and earned First Team All-District honors in wrestling.

Personal: Son of Berry and Mandie Gibson ... biology major. Gibson is also a member of the OU football and wrestling teams.
