Coach Emma is in her first season as a graduate student assistant with the OU softball program.
Since August of 2022, Emma has been an assistant coach for Select Fastpitch 11u. She is a licensed English Language Arts teacher and has worked as a substitute teacher in the Kansas City and Ottawa areas.Â
Ryan spent the 2023 season as a member of the OU softball team, helping the Braves to their third straight KCAC Championship and a trip to the NAIA Opening Round. She played in 19 games, making 15 starts for OU. Emma hit .195, scored four runs, drove in seven runs, had a .268 slugging percentage, walked three times, had a .283 on base percentage, and a .986 fielding percentage.
Prior to transferring to OU, Emma spent four years at MidAmerica Nazarene University and graduated with a degree in English education. She played in 123 games and made 119 starts. She scored 19 runs, had 98 hits, hit 18 doubles, five home runs, drove in 54 runs, had a .378 slugging percentage, walked 34 times, was hit by a pitch 11 times, had a .357 on base percentage, and had a .282 batting average. Ryan was a three-time All-HAAC performer at catcher for the Pioneers.
Emma is working on her masters in learning technologies.
