Coach Kearns is in his first season as an assistant coach with the OU cheer and STUNT programs. He will also coach the mascots.
Kearns has a plethora of experience coaching mascots, cheer, and tumbling. From 2013 to 2015, he was an assistant cheer and Mascot coach at Kansas State University. After working at K-State, Kearns was a member of the staff for Maryland Twisters All-Star in Hanover, Md. He was a tumble instructor and team tumble coach for levels 1-5.
From 2016 to 2020, Kearns worked for Kansas Gymnastics & Cheer Center in Olathe, Kan. He was a program director of cheer, tumbling, acro, and ninja. He was an all-star team coach for levels 1-3 and an Xcel gymnastics team coach for levels Bronze-Platinum. Kearns was also a junior Olympic team conditioning coach for levels 3-8.
