Coach Carpenter is in his first season as an assistant coach with the OU men’s basketball program.

Before coming to Ottawa University, Carpenter was an assistant coach at Baldwin High School. He was the junior varsity head coach in 2020-21 and the freshman head coach in 2019-20.

Prior to working at Baldwin High school, Carpenter was a student worker at Butler Community College. He analyzed film with the basketball staff and assisted the athletic director with game-day operations.

Carpenter is currently a student at the University of Kansas getting his degree in sports management.
