Biography

2014: Slavens finished the Romp on the Ridge hosted by Hutchinson Community College with a time of 29:53. She finished the KCAC Championships with a time of 29:50.1. Slavens was named a Daktronic Scholar Athlete.

2013: Slavens placed 89th at the Viking Invitational hosted by Grand View University with a time of 29:24. She ran a time of 28:58.84 at the Tabor Cross Country Meet, placing 55th. Slavens finished 21st with a time of 30:25, helping the Lady Braves capture the team title at the Bo Boucek Invitational. She ran a time of 26:33.53 to finish 76th at the KCAC Cross Country Championships.

2012: Slavens ran a time of 32:01 at the CC Invitational to finish 85th. She placed 91st at the Haskell Indian Nations University Invitational with a time of 24:00.46. Slavens finished with a time of 25:30 to place 41st at the OU Invitational. She ran a time of 24:20.5 to finish 54th at the KCAC Cross Country Championships.

High School: Slavens was a four year letter winner in cross country, earned four letters in track, one in basketball, and three letters in cheer for West Franklin High School. She earned Academic All-League honors all four years. Slavens competed in the two mile, the mile, the 4x800, and the pole vault.

Personal: Daughter of Jerry and Kelly Slavens ... born August 2, 1993 ... business administration major. Slavens favorite food is tuna noodle casserole and she enjoys watching the television show, “Criminal Minds.”
