Coach Sickau is in her first season as a assistant coach with the OU women’s flag football team. She is in charge of operations for the Braves.
Sickau plays women’s professional tackle football for the Kansas City Glory of the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC). She played for Knoxville Lightning and Kansas City Titans. She was a First Team All-American kicker for the Titans in 2018. Sickau currently plays punter, kicker, and wide receiver for the Kansas City Glory. She is a teammate of OU head women’s flag football coach Liz Sowers. Sickau was selected to coach at Manning Passing Academy Inaugural Women's & Girl's Camp in 2018.
Sickau is a sales representative with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. She generated over $475,000 of new revenue before and during the 2019 season through season tickets and group ticket sales. Sickau also created and implemented new selling strategies as the sales climate changes based upon upcoming events, team news, inventory needs, and various ticket campaigns. She was one of 10 co-workers who spearheaded the team's non-profit fundraising campaign across six states as part of the public outreach commitment in 2018.
Before coming to the Kansas City area, Sickau was a special education teacher in the Norris, Tenn. and the Knoxville, Tenn. areas.
Sickau has a professional teaching certificate in Special Education and in Childhood Education. She is a Level I USA Track and Field certificated coach, a Team USA SafeSport certificate, and a certificate in USA Football (Flag).
Sickau attended SUNY Binghamton where she was an NCAA Division I track and field athlete. She was a Scholar-Athlete for the America East Conference. She then attended Canisius College, earning a bachelor of science in childhood and special education in 2011. While at Canisius College, she was a member of the track and field and equestrian teams. Sickau was on the Dean’s List with Special Distinction and graduate Magna Cum Laude.
