Biography

Entering her senior season, Sebesta has an overall record of 56-39. She has a dual mark of 15-14 and has 27 falls and 15 technical falls. 

2024-25: Sebesta earned NAIA All-American honors with her eighth place finish in the 160 pound weight class. She earned All-KCAC honors. Sebesta finished the season with an overall record of 24-15. She had a dual mark of 1-2 and had 13 falls and two technical falls. 

2023-24: As a sophomore, Sebesta finished the season with an overall record of 14-7. She had nine falls. Sebesta competed in the 155 pound weight class (14-6) and the 170 pound weight class (0-1).

2022-23: Sebesta finished her first collegiate season with a record of 18-17. She had a dual mark of 9-9 and 10 falls and four technical falls. Sebesta is ranked fourth in wins by a freshman (18), and she earned All-KCAC honors.

High School: Sebesta had an impressive resume in her career at Langham Creek. She was a team captain for the 2021-22 season, she placed sixth overall at the UIL State Wrestling Tournament in the 138lb weight division. Also during the 2021-22 season, Sebesta finished first overall at Districts and Regionals. She won the LCHS Girls’ Varsity OW award. In her junior season, Sebesta earned third at Districts in the 165lb weight division and she placed first in JV Districts in the 138lb weight division during her sophomore season.

Personal: Daughter of Shane and Amanda Sebesta and plans to major in Criminal Psychology. She has only been wrestling for three years, she started off in softball before being recruited by the wrestling coach and never looked back since. In order to support her team during her junior year, Sebesta wrestled two weight classes up at 165lb. She enjoys the competition, the drive and commitment it takes to be a wrestler. She convinced her younger brother to take on wrestling, he quit football and is now a full-time wrestler. Sebesta intends to become stronger both physically and mentally while paving her way for success in the future.
