Biography

2015-16: As a sophomore, Lanning finished the year with an overall record of 20-9. She won the NCWWA National Championship at 136 pounds. Lanning finished the season with an 8-3 in duals. She had eight falls and seven technical falls for a total of 15 pins.

 

2014-15: Lanning finished her freshman year with an overall record of 13-18 and a dual record of 7-8. She had five falls with three pins and two technical falls. Lanning earned NCWWA All-American honors with her second place finish in the 139 pound weight class.

 

High School: As a wrestler, Lanning is a two-time USA Wrestling (USAW) All-American, was named an All-American at the Fargo Nationals in South Dakota, earned a top five ranking for six straight years in the United States Girls Wrestling Association (USGWA), was a five time USA Wrestling Kansas State Champion, earned Second place at the Body Bar National Championships, and was a Southern Plain Regional Freestyle Champion. On the soccer pitch for McPherson High School, she earned two letters and was a Second Team All-Conference selection.

Personal: Daughter of Brian and Mindy Lanning ... exercise science major. Her brother Zach is an All-KCAC performer and a 2015 AFCA NAIA Second Team All-American football player for Ottawa University.
