Ottawa University

Coach Nelson is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach in the OU wrestling program.

Before Ottawa University, Nelson was the Program Manager and Staffing Coordinator for Camp Starlight in NE Pennsylvania. He graduated from Ohio Northern University where he wrestled for three years at 14l and 149 pounds.

In addition to collegiate wrestling, Nelson was and is still currently a certified high school wrestling official in Indiana and most recently Florida. He was also the assistant wrestling coach for Tippecanoe Valley High School and Pride Wrestling Club in Jupiter. Nelson has also volunteered with Team USA and Beat the Streets during United in the Square.

In high school, Nelson was a four year letterman in wrestling, and two year letterman in tennis. While wrestling he was a three year team captain, conference champion, sectional champion, regional finalist and two -time semi-state qualifier. He wrestled 125, 130, & 135 pounds.
