Marshall is in his first season as an assistant coach with the OU men's basketball program.
Marshall returns to Ottawa with a wealth of experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, he served as the head girls’ basketball coach at Moberly High School in Moberly, Mo., where he guided the program while also teaching mathematics. Prior to his time at Moberly, Marshall was an assistant coach for the Battle High School boys’ basketball team in Columbia, Mo., helping lead the squad to its first Class 6A district championship and a 21-win season in his first year on staff.
At the collegiate level, Marshall has coached at both Graceland University and Ottawa University. While at Graceland, he served as Director of Player Development and Strength and Conditioning Coach, contributing to practice planning, recruiting, and academic support for student-athletes. From 2019 to 2021, Marshall was a graduate assistant at Ottawa University, playing a pivotal role in the most successful two-year stretch in program history, including the highest winning percentage and most wins in school history.
A former NCAA Division I and II student-athlete, Marshall holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership Development from Ottawa University (2021) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri (2019).
